SCOUTING: While he was a force for much of his sophomore year, it was down the stretch during the playoffs of a 15-1 state championship season, when much of the nation began to watch and appreciate this playmaker. After that huge season, the momentum never stopped as college coaches from all over the nation started to watch his film and listen to his coaches talk about what an impact player he was last year, and will be over the next two seasons. Shelton is a very dynamic athlete who not only makes a major impact on the defensive side of the ball, but was vital to the success of the program on special teams. He makes plays all over the field because he anticipates and reads plays, and his quickness and speed have given him a major lift. Look for him to continue to get bigger, stronger, faster and more mature over the year.
