11-year-old girl and her father injured after a shooting outside of a Broward McDonald's, police say
Police are searching for a suspect after a father and daughter were shot while sitting inside a car outside of a McDonald's in Hallendale Beach on Saturday afternoon.
Hallendale Beach police say that this happened when an altercation broke out at the McDonald's parking lot located at 835 West Hallandale Beach Boulevard, which led to a shooting.
They confirm that an 11-year-old girl and her father were innocent bystanders, waiting for the girl's mother to go inside and get food while they waited inside the vehicle.
Officials said that the girl was conscious and alert. Both she and her father were transported to the hospital in stable condition.
No additional information has been released, including the victims' identities and conditions.
No arrests have been announced, and police say they are searching for an at-large suspect.
