Doral Sergeant Released From Hospital After Being Shot During Training Exercise
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Law enforcement officials across South Florida received some good news this weekend.
A Doral Police sergeant has been released from the hospital.
He is now home resting.
Eric Fernandez was shot earlier this week while conducting a training exercise at the Miami-Dade Public Safety Training Institute.
Sources say a trainee may have ignored instructions and accidentally shot Fernandez in the upper torso.
Miami-Dade police are still investigating the shooting.
