MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins have added a running back to their needy stable.

The Dolphins have failed to sign Lamar Miller, C.J. Anderson and Chris Johnson but now the team has found someone who has agreed to a deal.

Former 2012 second round pick Isaiah Pead has signed with Miami, giving the team more depth behind second year back Jay Ajayi.

Pead has only 19 career carries and missed the entire 2014 season with a torn ACL.

The team that drafted Pead, the now-Los Angeles Rams, cut him early last season.

He signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers after Le'Veon Bell was injured but carried the ball just two times for three years, losing a fumble on one of the carries.
