MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins solidified an important role on the team's offense on Tuesday, but it wasn't the player that was expected.
After losing out on running back C.J. Anderson, Miami agreed to terms with quarterback Matt Moore who has been with the Dolphins since 2011.
Moore has been the backup to Ryan Tannehill for the past four seasons, since Tannehill was drafted in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Tannehill has started every game for Miami since coming into the league.
Moore's last start came in 2011, a season in which he started 12 games and threw for 2,497 yards and 16 touchdowns.
