Dade, Broward Counties Break Voting Records

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Miami-Dade county and Broward county have broken records for most votes cast in an election.

Miami-Dade had more than 949,000 votes cast by Tuesday. That's compared to the total of 872,260 back in the 2012 presidential election.

Broward also set a record with more than 827,385 votes cast by Tuesday evening. Back in 2012, there were a total 762,345 votes cast in the county.
