D-Wade Gives 10 Families A Shopping Spree

MIAMI (CBS4) - Giving back to the community can be a very special gift for those in need during the holidays.

For the second year, Dwayne Wade's Wade's World Foundation teamed up with Neighbors 4 Neighbors to adopt families in need.

Families like the Breland and McDougle family who recently lost everything in a house fire.

"Sometimes we don't know how we're going to get through but we're taking it one day at a time," explained family matriarch Marilyn Breland.

This year the Wade's World Foundation treated ten 'adopted' families to a thousand dollars each shopping spree. From clothing to toys, lots of wishes were granted, but the best gift of all was meeting their adopter Dwayne Wade.

"Huge Dwayne Wade fans! I know this is probably going to make not only their holiday season, but their year, their lives," said Sasha Moon from Starlight Children's Foundation,

Oneil Dinnall, who said the shopping spree was good, but meeting D-Wade made his Christmas.

"I've got Dwayne Wade and it's just a time to celebrate and have fun," said Dinnall.
