CBS Looking For Magic With Bewitched Remake
MIAMI (CBS4) -- CBS has done well with its "Hawaii Five-O" remake and now the network may be rebooting the classic TV show "Bewitched."
CBS is reportedly developing a script with Sony Pictures Television for a remake of the show which originally aired from 1964 to 1972.
It starred Elizabeth Montgomery as Samantha Stephens, a witch who tried to live the life of a typical suburban housewife. Her husband, Darrin Stephens, was played by both Dick York and Dick Sargent.
There's already been a big screen remake of Bewitched which starred Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell.
The Bewitched remake would join a long list of classic TV series returning to the small screen including "Hawaii Five-O" which returns to CBS for its second season in the fall, "Charlie's Angels" and "Dallas."
