Armed Robber Strikes Twice In W Kendall

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami-Dade police have asked for the public's help in finding an armed robber who struck twice in as many days in West Kendall.

The first robbery took place Thursday, August 8, at a Shell gas at 14699 S.W. 56th Street. Police said the armed man, described as being in his late teens to early 20s with a medium complexion and short dark hair, jumped the food counter and fought with the clerk over the cash tray. Once he grabbed it, he escaped on foot.

The following day, police believe the same man robbed a Top Shelf Liquor store at 16281 S.W 88th Street. Police said he walked into the store, pointed his gun at the clerk and said, in Spanish, "Give me the money or I'll shoot you in the head!"

The clerk handed over $159 and the man ran out of the store to a light silver, mid to late 90's car, possibly a Nissan or Toyota.

Anyone who recognizes the guy is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477).
