Annual Ride Raises Money For Fallen Officers' Families

Miami-Dade (CBS4) – Hundreds of South Florida police officers, their families and supporters fired up their rides and rode across the county for a good cause on Sunday.

This year's annual Police Memorial Ride honored Officers Roger Castillo and Amanda Haworth who died six months ago in the line of duty while serving a warrant on a murder suspect.

The ride began at 10 a.m. at Peterson's Harley Davidson in Miami Gardens; it ended at Peterson's South store.

More than 400 people participated in the ride and event which featured food, entertainment and a motorcycle show. All proceeds from the day will go the families of Castillo and Haworth.
