Bicyclist dead after hit-and-run in South Los Angeles; police search for driver
A man is dead after being hit while riding his bike in South Los Angeles on Monday morning.
The Los Angeles Police Department said they received calls around 1:30 a.m. about a man who was in the roadway near San Pedro and 95th Streets.
They said a man in his 60s was riding his bike through the area when he was hit by a car. The driver then fled the scene.
The man was pronounced dead by first responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Police do not have any suspect description and are working to review surveillance footage from nearby homes.
