Small Vegetation Fire Reported In Van Nuys
VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) A small vegetation fire -- about one acre -- has been reported in Van Nuys.
Sky9's Stu Mundel said firefighters quickly had it contained quickly.
The fire was first reported around 4:30 p.m. near Balboa, close to the 405 Freeway.
Traffic was not being affected by the blaze, Mundel reported.
Investigators on scene said the fire was likely caused by the crash of a model airplane.
Firefighters are letting the small fire burn itself out.
No homes or structures are threatened, authorities said.
