Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (April 18)
STUDIO CITY (CBS) — The warm weather will continue across Southern California. Look for mostly clear skies this morning as high pressure continues to build over the Southland.
As that ridge moves in, we are expecting the possibility of some sundowner winds in Santa Barbara County this evening. It will also be gusty along the I-5 corridor.
Look for warming conditions for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, as the high pressure moves overhead and the off-shore flow dominates.
In fact, with the warm air mass and dry flow, it will be mild in the overnight hours.
There will be a bit of a shallow inversion during this warm spell, so beach communities will be comfortable and may see some patchy dense fog.
Otherwise, it's a taste of summer until the weekend. By Sunday, the high pressure moves east. It will still be well above normal, but slightly cooler. The cut-off low we were watching for next week continues to be illusive, so don't count on it.
