Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (April 13)
STUDIO CITY (CBS) — It looks like we've got a pretty good soaker on tap today. Rain should start kicking in through the morning. There could also be some isolated thunderstorms and small hail.
Winds will be an issue. We've got a wind advisory for most areas, and wind warning for the deserts.
There is a winter storm warning for the mountains with snow levels possibly going down to 3,500 feet by this evening. There will be blowing snow and accumulation of eight to 10 inches above 5,500 feet.
Rainfall estimates with this storm look a little juicier than earlier this week. It looks like .5" to 1.5" in the flatlands, which is very much like Wednesday's storm.
Higher totals will occur in the foothills areas. The heart of the storm will be during the day. Things will then slow down by the evening with just light scattered showers.
We should be dry by Saturday, and there is a warming trend kicking in next week.
