Fire Burning East Of Moreno Valley Nearly Fully Contained After Scorching 500+ Acres
MORENO VALLEY (CBSLA) — The so-called Jerry fire burning east of Moreno Valley was nearly fully contained on Sunday.
The fire had scorched more than 500 acres after breaking out on Friday afternoon. It was 95 percent contained.
A tracker trailer traveling on Gilman Springs Road may have sparked the flames, according to the CHP.
Specifically, a component on its trailer actually fell off and dragged behind the truck, creating sparks.
