After work, a day on the beach, or a swell (pun intended) surf session, there's plenty of spots for a cold brew, a craft cocktail or a glass of wine in the South Bay. Whether you're craving an ocean view or a gourmet snack with your drink, here are some of the best happy hours in Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, and Redondo Beach.

Once a dive bar, The Mermaid is now a remodeled more upscale spot with friendly waitresses and terrific happy hour deals. One deal includes one domestic beer special nightly, including craft beer, available for just $3. The seafood-centric fare is tasty, too. The Mermaid is located right on the popular stretch known as The Strand in Hermosa Beach, meaning the ocean view is spectacular, and you can come in with beach tar still on your feet. In the back corner, a large fireplace and cozy leather loungers make a romantic drinking and dining spot. There's also a back room with leather booths and two pool tables, and a small outdoor patio, too.
