Support survivors of domestic abuse at the 5K Run for a Safe Haven, 8am
The annual 5K Run for A Safe Haven event helps to raise funds to support survivors of domestic violence. My Sister’s House will highlight its 23rd Annual 5K Run for a Safe Haven, a community event that raises critical funds to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. The event is always in October as October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The segment will introduce viewers to My Sister’s House and its mission, explain why the Run for a Safe Haven is important, and invite the community to participate. We will also highlight the family-friendly activities planned for the event, including a kids’ fun run, warm-up, resource tables, DJ, costume contest, and opportunities for runners and walkers of all experience levels to participate.
