INGREDIENTS:
8-1 oz. squares of unsweetened chocolate
1 cup butter
5 eggs
3 cups sugar
1 TBS vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 1/2 cups chopped pecans. (You can use walnuts and pre toast nuts if desired).
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Pre-grease a 9 X 13 pan. Melt chocolate and butter in saucepan (or double boiler) over low heat, then set aside. In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs, sugar and vanilla at high speed (whipping) for 10 minutes. Blend in chocolate mixture, flour, cinnamon and salt until just mixed (do not over mix!). You can mix in the nuts or add them on top after pouring mix into the pan. Pour into greased baking pan. Evenly spread nuts on top. Bake for 35-40 minutes, DO NOT OVER BAKE! Let cool. If nuts are mixed in, you can add frosting if desired, but not really necessary.
