If you're a fan of Sonoma Wine Country, may we recommend a quick trip to Portland to experience the delicious wines of the Willamette Valley! Home to two-thirds of Oregon's wineries and vineyards, the valley is known as one of the premier Pinot noir–producing areas in the world! After a quick flight to Portland and an even quicker hour-long drive southwest of the city, you'll find yourself surrounded by over 500 wineries!! And if you're looking for a good jumping-off point, try Hotel Vintage in the heart of Portland. In homage to Willamette Valley's wines, each floor is dedicated to a different Willamette Valley AVA (American Viticultural Area) and each room to a local winery. In addition to 5-star accommodations, Hotel Vintage also boasts a stellar restaurant. Il Solito, which translates to 'the usual', is an East-Coast Italian inspired eatery offering everything from burrata to bucatini, antipasti to abalone and all for a reasonable price!

Check out a few of the Il Solito promotions below: · Il Solito is making it easier to gather the family for dinner with Sunday Suppers. The meal is priced per person for a family-style menu of Caesar salad, spaghetti and meatballs and cannoli for $33 per person and $15 for 12 and under. The whole table needs to participate, but reservations aren't required- just encouraged.

· As a cure to the post-weekend slump, Il Solito offers a weekly wine promotion that's one of the better drinking deals in town. Every Monday, the bar will open a premium magnum (1.5L bottle) of wine at 5pm and sell it by the glass for ridiculously discounted prices. Most of the wines are rarely sold by the glass, often only available by the bottle, and guests will get a killer deal in the process. All the selections will be food-friendly wines to work with the Italian-American menu, and the first three weeks will feature:

o Ferrari Brut Metodo Classico NV for $6 per glass; Elio Grasso Barbera d'Alba Martina 2014 for $7 per glass; Canalicchio Brunello 2012, which can run near $40 per glass, for just $11

· In honor of Oregon Wine Month and the celebrating official wine of summer, Il Solito is pouring $14 rose flights. The lineup features a 2oz pour of each of the outstanding wines: 2017 Pinot Noir, St. Reginald Parish, The Marigny; 2018 Pinot Noir, Crowley; and 2018 Pinot Noir Bubbles, Planet Oregon, by Soter. Like one best? Treat yourself to a 5oz pour of anyone for an extra $12.
