Gourmet Green Bean Casserole
It's our first side dish of the season. Good Day viewer Maggie Taber has agreed to share her secret side dish recipe: Gourmet Green Bean Casserole.
Gourmet Green Bean Casserole
2 cans Cream of Mushroom Soup
4 cans Cut Green Beans (drained)
2 cans French's Fried Onions
1 block Smoked Gouda (shred)
1 small block Smoked Cheddar (shred)
2 tsp. Soy Sauce
1/4 tsp. Black Pepper or more if desired
1/2 lb. bacon (cut into small pieces and cook -the more bacon the better!)
1 cup Milk
Preheat oven to 350. mix soup, milk, soy sauce and pepper in small bowl. In large bowl mix green beans, all bacon except an amount to spread on top if desired, 1 can onions, and all cheese except amount for topping. Add soup mix to large bowl and stir til evenly coated. Spread into casserole dish. Cook for about 25 min or until hot. Remove from oven and spread remaining cheese, bacon and can of onions on top. Cook an additional 5 min or until onions browned.
