Capitol Dawg Sets World Record!

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Hot dogs are a staple of summer, and they are usually pretty cheap.

However, Capitol Dawg in Sacramento wanted to set a world record for most expensive hot dog, so they sold one that cost $145.49.

A representative from Guinness World Records bestowed the title of "World's Most Expensive Hot Dog" on Capitol Dawg owner Mike Brown.

A third of the proceeds from the pricey wiener went to Shriner's hospitals.

The 18-inch hot dog is topped with a number of ingredients including baby greens, garlic-herb mayo, dried cranberries and very expensive $500 a pound moose cheese.
