The much-hyped border wall between the U.S. and Mexico that Donald Trump promised would have a break in it if Texas Governor Greg Abbott has his way.

Governor Abbott, who has been a major proponent of border security, says he does expect a physical barrier to go up on the Texas Mexico border as promised by candidate Trump, but he says that he hopes President Trump will skip over at least one area.

"There are serpentine regions of the Rio Grande where it would be extremely challenging to build a wall," Abbott said. "There are parts like the Big Bend region. We don't want see a wall in the beautiful Big Bend National Park."

Even President-elect Trump has hinted he'll back off one big wall.

Texas spends about $800 million a year on border security, but Abbott says that price-tag could go down based on what the Trump administration does.
