Retail Gasoline Prices Across Texas Drop 2 Cents

IRVING, Texas (AP) - Retail gasoline prices across Texas have declined 2 cents this week to reach $3.48 per gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported that compares to the nationwide price at the pump of $3.64 per gallon, which is down 3 cents from a week ago.

Drivers in El Paso have the most expensive gasoline in Texas this week at $3.54 per gallon. The association survey found Amarillo has the cheapest retail gasoline at $3.38 per gallon.

AAA officials say high wholesale gasoline prices have begun to subside in many parts of the country. Analysts expect pump prices for many U.S. motorists to decline in the next week.

Association authorities also say violence in Iraq continues to impact global oil prices but production in the southern part of the country remains unaffected.
