Jones: Cowboys Starting Dak Vs Browns, Romo Will Do "What Is Best For The Team"

DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - The Cowboys have a winning chemistry going with the rookies leading the charge for the 6-1 team, and it looks like they will stay with the 'hot hand' of Dak Prescott at QB.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told The Fan's Shan & RJ show that following Prescott's impressive 4th quarter come-from-behind win on Sunday over Philadelphia, Dak should be starting the next game against Cleveland since he is "pretty sure" Romo won't be active.
"Tony is making a lot of progress, he is stronger than he was at any time last year. " said Jones. "I do think that unquestionably Tony will be ready to go at some point near the end of the year - and we'll be able to evaluate things at that time."
And when the time does come to put Romo back in, Jones says the starting quarterback decision will be made by many people, including Romo and head coach Jason Garrett.
"There will be a lot of input from the doctors, Tony will have a tremendous amount of input," said Jones. "We'll look at the situation with Jason (Garrett), and obviously (Scott) Linehan is a big part of it. Evaluating the game, evaluating all personnel, evaluating where we are in the offensive line, where we are at the receivers, all of that will be in consideration."
When asked if Romo would be ok 'as a competitor' to keep Prescott in as the starting quarterback, Jones said, "Tony has no issue doing what is best for the team...absolutely no issue."
