DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Jerry Jones joined Shan and RJ this morning for his weekly call-in to the show.

Jones didn't hold anything back relating to the comments he made last week to 105.3 The Fan regarding Brandon Weeden's passing ability, saying that "you wouldn't see a more gifted passer" when it comes to the former Oklahoma State quarterback.

Today, Jones tried to clarify his statement. "Because I said Weeden had a beautiful stroke, I got accused of saying, well, he can throw a better ball than Aikman... Now that's B.S."

Jones also expressed his feelings for Jason Witten, a player that played with two sprained ankles and a sprained knee on Sunday. "Jason (Witten) is in the top 5 people of the people I've known in the NFL," Jerry said. "He's certainly rare, he's just an inspiration."

Another player that is playing through pain is cornerback Morris Claiborne. Claiborne has struggled to perform since the Cowboys traded their first and second round picks to the Rams in order to select the LSU product 6th overall in the 2012 draft. Claiborne, however, has shown something resembling that player the Cowboys drafted three years ago."He's had genuine challenges with knee soreness. He's developed a tolerance to play with some discomfort in his knee. I think that has raised the level of his competitiveness. He's really stepped up with his willingness to get out there and play above his pain. He's just an outstanding player."

The Cowboys face the Saints in New Orleans on Sunday night.
