DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — Dallas police say an Arkansas man who was stopped while driving the cab of an 18-wheeler has been charged with murder after a body was found inside the truck.

Lew Sterrett Justice Center records show 49-year-old Roderick Jordan of Mineral Springs, Ark., was booked into jail on Monday afternoon.

Dallas police early Monday made a traffic stop along Interstate 20 after noticing the wheels on a semi were smoking. An affidavit, as the officer appraoched the vehicle he noticed that the driver, later identified as Jordan, was moving around a lot in the vehicle. When the officer asked Jordan if there was someone else inside the vehicle the said "no."

Jordan allowed the officer to search the cab and that's when the body of a man, who appeared to have been stabbed, was discovered. The big rig belongs to CRST Carrier Group, based in Alabama.

It was also noted in the affidavit that when Jordan was taken to Dallas Police Department Headquarters his clothing had what appeared to be blood stains on them.

Jordan is being held on $500,000 bond.

Police are still trying to identify the victim. Authorities are investigating whether the rig was stolen.
