Zagat has recognized Bonnell's Fine Texas Cuisine as one of the 'Finest restaurants in Texas'. The menu contains organic, grass-fed beef, wild game and fresh seafood. The Buffalo Tenderloin is a customer favorite and will melt in your mouth. Other must-haves include the Oysters Texasfeller (served on the half-shell with spinach and tasso, topped with hollandaise), cheese grits (green chile or blue cheese-blue corn), and ANY quail dish. There are few places in North Texas where you can din eon Elk, Kangaroo, or Ostrich, but Bonnell's is one of them. The entrée portions are fairly big, so you make a conscious decision beforehand to have dessert. The Tres Leches Crème Brulee is exceptional, as is the Carmel-Pecan Cheesecake, but you can nibble on five sweet treats with the Mini Dessert Sampler.

As far as appetizers go the Maryland-Style All Lump Crab Cake is meaty and well seasoned. When it comes to seafood entrees check out any of the Sea Bass dishes, Snapper or Lemon Sole. The Filet Mignon is tender and tasty and the Scalloped Potatoes, Au Gratin, along with the Truffled Macaroni and Cheese are sides that are raved about.
