Artists 'Gathering' To Commemorate 30-Year AIDS Fight
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - This year marked thirty years since the discovery of the HIV/AIDS pandemic, and a group of Dallas artists are coming together to raise money for the agencies that help the thousands of people in North Texas who are still living with the disease.
'A Gathering: The Dallas Arts Community Reflects on 30 Years of AIDS' will bring together about a dozen arts groups in North Texas, including the Turtle Creek Choral, the SMU Meadows School of the Arts and the Booker T. Washginton High School for the Performing Arts to celebrate the memory of lives lost and to honor those who continue their fight.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will go to four non-profit agencies - Dallas Resource Center, AIDS Arms, AIDS Interfaith Network and AIDS Services of Dallas.
Santos says the fund raising comes at a critical time. 'A Gathering' will be performed at the Winspear Opera House in the downtown arts district on December 6. For tickets and information, visit the TITAS website.
