Smithsonian races to preserve the legacy of audio cassette tapes

Among the audio gems being preserved by the Smithsonian are performances of the National Folklife Festival in the '60s, a mixtape that went up into space with astronaut Sally Ride and a lecture from pioneering author Octavia Butler.
