Wings Disappointed With Defense During Skid
Despite losing much skill and depth due to a plethora of injuries, the Red Wings believe they should be playing better defensively than they have been.
They allowed 20 goals during a five-game winless streak (0-4-1), having yielded three or more goals in seven consecutive games, which they had done only seven times in their previous 24 games.
Having scored more than two goals only twice in eight games heading into Wednesday's contest at the Rangers, the Wings realized they couldn't overcome mistakes like before.
