Tigers' Austin Jackson On Pace To Achieve Rare Rookie Feat

With his debut at Yankee Stadium a few days away, Austin Jackson is hitting .304. He can become the first Tigers rookie to play regularly and hit .300 in more than 50 years.
The last Tiger to do it was Harvey Kuenn in 1953. Kuenn hit .308 -- he had a league-high 209 hits -- and was voted the American League rookie of the year.
Jackson has made his own strong rookie-of-the-year case, with his legs as well with his bat. He has 16 stolen bases, and how about all of those sensational catches in centerfield?
