Tickets Are Still Selling For UM's First Night Game

ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - If you still need tickets for Saturday's first night game at the Big House, make sure there's plenty of money in your check book.

According to Jennifer Swanson, marketing director for ticketsnow.com, the average price you'll have to pay for a ticket to the big game is $451. She calls the demand "huge" and says Michigan fans beware, not everyone calling will be wearing maize and blue.

"Huge Michigan contingency, got to tell you that, but I think you are going to see your fair share of Notre Dame fans at the game Saturday," said Swanson.

Local ticket brokers have been unable to keep up with the phone calls they've been receiving... one telling WWJ the demand is "unprecedented."

"If we took out all the bowl games, this is one of the regular season high-priced games, in fact last year, when Michigan met Notre Dame, (in Notre Dame) that game was about a $100 dollars less on average, so this is a huge game," said Swanson.

The first night game at the Big House kicks off just after 8:00 tomorrow, with the pre-game beginning at 5:30, right here on WWJ, your flagship station for University of Michigan football.
