State Police Searching For Convicted Murderer Who Is 'Person Of Interest' In Home Invasion
LYNDON TWP., Mich. (WWJ) - Michigan State Police are looking for the public's help in finding a convicted murderer who is now a person of interest in a home invasion.
Police believe Robert Staley Winburn — who also goes by the name Scott Allen Libby and Robert James Miller, was involved in or has information about a break-in on Tuesday, Aug. 16, in the 7300 block of Lingane Road near Waterloo Road in Lyndon Township. That's not far from the Waterloo Recreation Area and the Jackson and Washtenaw County line.
State police report his age as 47, while Michigan Department of Corrections records state he is 44.
Winburn's criminal record includes a second degree murder conviction in Wayne County in 1995, along with convictions for assault with intent to commit murder and a gun charge.
He was listed as have absconded from parole in Pontiac as of Aug. 16.
Two suspects in the Lyndon Township incident are reportedly already in custody, police say.
