Shots fired at Monroe Township apartment complex basketball court, deputies report
A shooting at a neighborhood basketball court is under investigation in Monroe County, Michigan.
Monroe County Central Dispatch received several 911 calls about 7:51 p.m. Wednesday about shots being fired in the 6100 block of Greenwycke Lane, according to the report from Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
Patrol officers and detectives arrived and learned one to two shots were fired in the area of the basketball court at the apartment complex, which is off South Dixie Highway in Monroe Township.
"This is believed to be an isolated incident," the report said.
The case remains under investigation. Deputies ask that anyone who has information on the shooting contact their Detective Bureau at 734-240-7530.
