Police: Suspect Robs Dollar Store On Saturday And Sunday

WESTLAND (WWJ) - Two Westland residents are in custody in connection with a dollar store armed robbery.

A 42-year-old allegedly robbed the Dollar General Store in Westland Sunday morning and took off.

It wasn't long before police picked up a man matching the description of the suspect and arrested him.

Police say the description matched that of a person who had robbed the same store the day before.

A second person, a 40-year-old, was in a getaway car, and was placed under arrest for being an accessory after the commission of a felony.

If warrants are submitted and approved, both suspects are expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.
