Police: Gunman Sought After Shots Fired At Family At Stoplight In Dearborn [SKETCH]
DEARBORN (WWJ) - Dearborn police are looking for tips after a man says he and his family were shot at while stopped at a traffic light.
Officers responded to shots fired on eastbound Hubbard and Southfield about 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29.
A driver told investigators a stranger in a dark-colored vehicle pulled up and started shooting at his vehicle with a handgun. Fortunately, the victim was able to drive away and no one was hurt.
The suspect — seen in a sketch released Thursday — is described as an Arabic male, 20 to 30 years old, with facial hair.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.
"This crime is particularly disturbing because there were small children in the victim's vehicle when the shooting occurred," said Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad in a statement. "This type of crime is most unacceptable and motive is not certain."
"We will not sleep until this perpetrator is brought to justice," the chief added.
