Pat Caputo- Ndamukong Suh Ends Up With Right Deal At (Barely) The Right Time


At first glance, it would be natural to consider Dominic Raiola's comments Tuesday morning about Ndamukong Suh's contract holdout as critical.

"He needs to go ahead and tell his agents he wants to sign and get into camp," Raiola said. "Forty million, $42 million, $43 million — I don't know what's the difference. It's $20 million after taxes. I think you have to get that name signed and do the math."

That's until you consider both Raiola and Suh are products of the University of Nebraska football machine, and that nobody led the cheers requesting the Lions select Suh with the second overall pick in the National Football League Draft more than Raiola, who has been the Lions' center since 2001.

And Raiola wasn't saying anything a lot of people weren't thinking.
