OPTIS Sets Lighting Materials & Design Conference

TROY -- OPTIS North America, simulation software for lighting, perceived quality and human factors engineering, is announcing the inaugural Lighting Materials & Design Conference May 14 at the Detroit Science Center, 5020 John R Road, Detroit.

The conference aims to explore challenges facing product teams integrating lighting and materials as a brand strategy. Advanced materials and lighting technologies are driving enormous design improvement in everything from automotive to consumer goods.

"In organizing this conference, OPTIS is striving to fill the gap in industry conferences relating to designing with light and innovative materials," said Rick Comiskey, director of OPTIS North America. "This conference doesn't focus on OPTIS products and uses alone, but really brings together industry leaders in design relating to current and trending technology."

The conference will kick off registration at 8:30 a.m. and technical sessions will begin at 9. Technical presentations will run through 5 p.m. and will be immediately followed by an exhibitor and cocktail hour. Hear from industry leading companies and speakers on topics including new advancements and trends in lighting and materials, virtual validation and three-dimensional Imaging.
