Livonia Adds Water, Sewer Info To City Web Site

The city of Livonia Web site  at www.ci.livonia.mi.us now offers information on water and sewer service and repairs, plus details on billing and rates, together under one new section.

This new water and sewer section can be found by clicking on the "departments" drop-down menu near the top of the page and scrolling down to Water and Sewer. It is designed to make water and sewer information easier for residents to find on the Web site.

The new page combines information previously found on pages of the City's Department of Public Works, which handles the distribution system and maintenance, and the City Finance Department, which handles all aspects of water and sewer billing.

A new feature of the Water and Sewer section offers answers to numerous frequently asked questions, with the order of the questions on the page based on how often the question is viewed on the Web site -- so, the most frequently viewed items end up at the top of the FAQ list.

Among the questions and answers, customers will find information about rates, how to read their meter, how to understand their bill, paying bills online, who to contact for repairs, and other related topics.
