Everyday around Detroit, kids and adults wear their favorite players' jersey T-shirts.

And this is a situation where wearing one really paid off. (Note to all the fans out there: Wear yours at Starbucks every time you go.)

As you might know, Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Justin Verlander is a huge fan of Starbucks.

While getting a coffee or maybe a tea --we don't judge -- Verlander noticed a young fan of his and decided to take a selfie behind his back. He used the caption: "Love having my fans support!! This little guy was pretty surprised when he turned around."

We could only wish he had followed it up with a picture of the look on the kid's face when he turned around and saw Verlander behind him.

Even though Verlander might be a little bummed he didn't get the nod to start Opening Day, he really has 202 million reasons to smile. Well I guess it's 202 million and one reasons if you include Kate Upton.
