Heart Attack Takes Life Of High School Student Trying Out For Basketball Team
LINCOLN PARK (WWJ) - Students at Lincoln Park High School are mourning the death of a classmate.
Fifteen-year old Xavier Carter died early Tuesday morning at the University of Michigan Medical Center hours after having a heart attack during a basketball tryout. Counselors talked with students about Carter's death throughout the school day.
A vigil is planned at Lincoln Park High School Thursday night after the previously planned winter sports banquet.
