Father Of 2 Kids Who Drowned In Tub Due In Court

An Allen Park man accused of killing his two small children is due in court Monday.

27-year-old Steven Nicholson will be in Allen Park District Court for his preliminary examination. He's accused of first-degree murder in the deaths of his two children: 15-month-old Ella Stafford and 13-month-old Jonathan Sanderlin.

The children were found dead in his apartment on Oct. 19. Prosecutors say the children were scalded and had drowned in a bathtub.

If convicted, he faces life in prison without parole. In his first court appearance, Nicholson was emotional and unable to say his name. He declared "I did not hurt my babies."
