Detroit Man Arraigned In Brother's Shooting, Woman's Death
DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - A 24-year-old Detroit man has been charged in the shooting of his younger brother and the death of his brother's girlfriend in an incident that ended in the parking lot of a Home Depot store on the city's northwest side.
The Wayne County prosecutor's office says Jujuan Emel-Lamar Cash was arraigned Tuesday on first-degree murder, assault with intent to murder and armed robbery charges.
Authorities say Cash's 23-year-old brother and his brother's 24-year-old girlfriend were shot Sunday morning as they lay in bed.
Cash chased his brother who ran to the nearby Home Depot store on 7 Mile Road. A clerk at the store also was robbed. Police say Cash then returned home where he was arrested.
Cash faces an Aug. 18 probable cause conference and an Aug. 25 preliminary examination.
