Demar Dorsey Released From Letter Of Intent, Won't Play At Michigan

Blue-chip defensive-back recruit Demar Dorsey won't play football for Michigan this fall.

Dorsey's father, Eddie Jackson, told AnnArbor.com that his son signed the paperwork to be released from his letter of intent and faxed it to Michigan on Wednesday morning.

Dorsey is qualified by NCAA standards with a 2.5 grade-point average and an 18 score on his ACT, Jackson said, but Michigan has denied his admission.

"They actually didn't give us no real solid reason," Jackson said. "I don't know exactly what they real deal behind it is. They're really not going to come out straight up and tell you exactly the real reason behind it. All I know is the coaches have been real good. They've been trying to fight for him, but admissions just won't accept him."
