Consumers Energy: Thousands Still Without Service
DETROIT (WWJ)- Thousands are still without power across Michigan because of Sunday's high winds and heavy rain.
Consumers Energy says about 42,000 of their customers are still without service mostly outside metro Detroit. Officials say two dozen crews from Indiana and Ohio are in Michigan Monday helping restore the power.
There are also about 5,000 DTE customers still without electricity.
A spokesman for the utility company says most of those outages are in Livingston County.
Power was expected to be restored to most by late Monday night.
