Bill's Blog: I Want A Big Wheel

This past Easter Sunday was the annual Bring Your Own Big Wheel race in San Francisco. It looks like it would be a blast. They start at the top of the Hill on Lombard Street and...well, they lift their feet and let gravity take over.
Now, one of my great sorrows in life was never having a Big Wheel. The BW was of course all plastic, cool looking and a status symbol on Norma Street in Warren, Michigan. My parents however, opted for the less popular, all-metal and cheaper Vroom (seriously, that was how it was spelled). When it came to childhood toys my parents always seemed to get the cheaper version of whatever was popular. Who wants a G.I. Joe when you can have Big Jim? Play-Doh? Doh-Thanks, I'll have Fun Clay!

Don't cheap out on your kid, you'll only make them the laughing stock of the neighborhood.
