Airline Loses Luggage And A Little Girl
TRAVERSE CITY (WWJ/AP) - Airlines are notorious for losing your luggage, but losing a 10-year-old girl?
Annie and Perry Klebahn paid a $99 unaccompanied minor fee to have their daughter, Phoebe, fly from San Francisco to Traverse City via Chicago on United Airlines.
The Klebahn's first learned something was wrong when their daughters' Michigan summer camp called to say that Phoebe had not arrived.
The couple claims that United Airlines personnel forgot to show up to help escort Phoebe to her connecting flight.
The young girl finally made it to camp; four hours later and without her luggage.
The airline has refunded the unaccompanied minor fee to the family.
