Valet Parking Company Cited After Employee Death
DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver have cited the owner of a valet parking company after one of its employees died last month in a hit and run accident.
Jose Medina was killed while helping customers outside the Rock Star bar at 9th and Lincoln Jan. 22. He was working as a valet when he was hit by a pickup truck driver who drove away.
The valet business owner, Everardo Garcia, was cited for operating without a license.
A city spokesperson said it is the valet company's responsibility to take out a license when working with a bar or restaurant.
