Vail Shares Rise As Visitor Numbers Are Reported
VAIL, Colo. (CBS4) - An increase in visitors to Vail Resorts is good news for investors.
Skier visits at Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone and the other ski resorts in the Vail family neared a record 12 million. That's the highest number since 2008.
The increase in visitors goes along with an increase in revenue and it has allowed the company to pay its investors. Shares are now up 5 percent.
Vail's CEO said he believes the purchase of a resort in Lake Tahoe helped boost revenue.
