Tuskegee Airmen's Stolen Medals Located

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- A member of the famous Tuskegee Airman said he's in shock after police found his prestigious medal that was stolen three months ago.

Frank Macon lives in Colorado Spring. Back in June, someone stole his Congressional Gold Medal of Honor from his home. Macon thought he would never see it again.

Just after midnight Friday, police found it at a local hotel in the lost and found box. Now, the medal has been returned to its rightful owner.

Police said no one has been arrested. It's still a mystery how the medal ended up in the hotel.

On July 22, the military gave Macon a replacement medal during a special ceremony at the Air Force Academy.
